 Rose-Marie Rychner

 

Geb. 1946 in Aschaffenburg/D

Ausbildung in Textil - Design, Graphik, Malerei und Ikonen -Restauration.

1982 ging sie nach Afrika und setzte dort ihre künstlerische Tätigkeit fort. Sie unterrichtete Kunst und Kunsthandwerk privat und an Schulen in Senegal, Elfenbeinküste, Botswana und Uganda. Daneben organisierte sie ein Marionettentheater, das sich hauptsächlich mit den Themen Völkerverständigung und dem Umweltschutz befasste. Sie setzte währenddessen ihre Malerei fort und präsentierte diese in zahlreichen Ausstellungen.

Im Juli 1993 kam sie nach Uganda, das ein Meilenstein für sie werden sollte. Sie arbeitete noch intensiver an ihren Werken und setzte sich stark für die Förderung ugandischer Kunst und Künstler ein. Ihre Malerei, speziell ihre Pastelle wurden leuchtender und noch mehr afrikanisch beeinflusst. Die Darstellungen wurden zur farbigen Harmonie das letztlich ihren unnachahmlichen Stil ausmacht. Sie setzte ihre ganze Erfahrung ein, um junge afrikanische, -speziell ugandische Künstler zu fördern. So kam es teilweise zu sehr berühmten, internationalen Ausstellungen.

1994 wurde sie zum Kurator der ugandischen Künstler ernannt. Wichtige Anlässe, wie die Biennale "Africus" in Johannesburg / Südafrika und andere berühmte Ausstellungen waren die Folge.

Sie bewies sich auch in anderen Medien, wie z.B. in der Filmproduktion. Resultat sind 3 Dokumentarfilme in Umwelt und Politik, gezeigt im ZDF/Germany, BBC Channel 4 GB, SABC-Südafrika, Zoom-Intern, TV-Uganda und auf internationalen Konferenzen für Demobilisierung und Friede. Ihre Liebe zu dem Kontinent Afrika reflektiert sich in all ihren Kreationen.
