Diab ist probably the only Sudanese artist of his generation who can make a living of his success in art. From a very early age he started painting his environment and in particular the people around him.

His painting is according to Arabic Calligraphy.

He became a witness of a vibrant, intellectual time in Sudan, in which there was a profound exchange of thought on the importance of the arts, culture and literature.

In Spain he became a professional artist, after he devoted all his time. It became his training ground.

His graphics are masterly balanced en with sharp sensitivity. A lot of feeling for colours and movement.

He says: " I recognize in the arts a continuous discovery...."
